I help Daniel get his boat Little Lady out of the river and onto the trailer today

On another fine and sunny day, with temperatures of 80°F in the shade, Di took Debbie horse-riding and I help Daniel get his boat little lady out of the river and onto the trailer before we enjoyed a barbecue on the front lawn. I collected Debbie with friends to come back swimming in our pool and joined them until doing more chores and signing more books for sale

I had a less-unsettled night with the heat and also the fact that Di had a tummy upset and eventually had to sleep in the spare room. Quite an early awake anyway and managed to tend the conservatory before breakfast of fried egg etc. was ready. Di took Debbie to the horse-riding stables and I help Daniel get the Little Lady out of the river and up onto the trailer.

It was another fine sunny day – I measured the temperature at 80°F in the shade – and I wore shirts and a T-shirt. When I was at the lock seeing Daniel through, a boat-owner recognised me from my time in DSD sales, Texas Instruments. We had a barbecue lunch on the front lawn. It was hot by now and getting hotter. This afternoon, we sat outside for a while and then I went across to the riding stables to see if Debbie needed any help with the pony. She had finished riding and grooming him and so had the other girls there and so I brought them back to go swimming in our pool. I went in myself until tea and then this evening I did my chores and then signed some more books with Diana before writing up my journal.
