We cruised via Acle Bridge to Great Yarmouth, mooring up at the Yacht Station at close to low tide

After a fairly early start, Daniela and I shared the helm as we cruised via Acle Bridge to Great Yarmouth, mooring up at the Yacht Station at close to low tide. lunch at McDonalds and then by taxi to the sea front where the girls enjoyed Wally's Windmill full of children’s' play equipment for wet-weather entertainment. This evening, Daniel and Diana went to the cinema to see another film whilst I stayed in the Paxton Princess to give my foot a rest and look after the girls as I also studied my equipment manuals

It was a fairly early start on Saturday with me getting washed and dressed first and then taking the helm as the rest got ready and had breakfast and then Daniel taking over whilst I ate mine. The weather was quite reasonable, and the tide was with us and so we made good way. We tried stopping at Acle Bridge for water but the boat-yard owner there told us rather grumpily that his water was switched off, but we think that he was just trying to get rid of us. Onwards to Yarmouth, mooring up at the Yacht Station at close to low tide. We walked into the town centre and had lunch at McDonalds, exchanging a voucher we had won for a "Big-Mac Sandwich" and getting several more tickets. The idea is that you are given these "Trivial Pursuit" question cards and you have to scratch off the boxes to find the right answers and win more food. We keep the cards and look the answers up in a dictionary and so win every time which seems a bit of an obvious way to score, but we suppose most people cannot wait and do the puzzle there.

After lunch, Daniel went round the shops and the rest of us went by taxi to the sea front. Joyland was closed for the winter, but Wally's Windmill was open and we took the girls there. What an active and noisy place that is, but the girls loved it! It is an old converted theatre, now full of children’s' play equipment for wet-weather entertainment. They also host children’s' birthday parties and there seemed to be two in progress, the place being full during the school half-term holidays. We walked back to the town centre which was a bit harsh on my foot. My wound is still recovering but this walk set it back a bit. We did some more shopping and then Daniel and I went back to the boat whilst Diana took Debbie and got some new party clothes with which they were both very pleased. This evening, Daniel and Diana went to the cinema to see another film whilst I stayed in the Paxton Princess to give my foot a rest and look after the girls. I studied the manuals on the Plotter and charted the co-ordinates of our route down from Horning to Yarmouth. We had the Plotter switched to "tracking" on the way down and had logged the route. In the end, I had trouble with the set which seemed to stop working and I gave up.
