Israeli Premier Yitzhak Shamir is only interested in surviving domestic challenges before the pending election

The weather was mainly dry today but with a few showers but very windy with forecasts of NW winds up to severe gale 9 and so I am pleased to be out of the sea at the moment! Recovering at home after our sea trip by organising my workmen, taking the family our for lunch and then getting Daniel to help me was the salt off of Paxton Princess.

An Israeli air raid on the southern Lebanon bases of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah will delay hostage releases but Israeli Premier, Yitzhak Shamir, is only interested in surviving domestic challenges before the pending election. Violence is now spreading across Kenya in the third day of unrest and the government looks to be in trouble with the threat of anarchy. Sterling has risen to above the three Deutschmark barrier but Chancellor Major is still ruling out reductions in the interest rate.

I was expecting the electricians to come and start work in my office this morning and so, as I woke up early, put my dressing gown on and went straight down to update my computer journal for this last week or so. Then breakfast in my dressing gown again, before going up to have the first hair wash and shower since going on the boat last week which I found very refreshing. After breakfast, I had to spend most of the morning talking to the electrician, gardener, and decorator who each needed their instructions in order to undertake further work. Then I went into St Neots with Daniel and Diana to do some shopping. I went to the car accessory shop with Daniel and looked at car alarm systems but felt that they were not particularly suitable for boats.

Then we dropped in at home to collect the girls before taking the whole family to A.J's Family Restaurant for lunch. As I was not able to take Debbie to her horse event today, Di telephoned Mrs Cranston and arranged for Helen to come for the day and to spend the night afterwards and she was tickled pink with that solution. After lunch, I managed to persuade Daniel to come out and help me clean the Paxton Princess. It was dirty and covered with salt after the sea trip and so we scrubbed it and hosed it down liberally. The gardener was having trouble with the lawn mower and also ran into two wasp nests today which was a blow to him on both counts. We have arranged for HDC to come and kill the wasps and got the mower started. This evening after the electricians had been creating all sorts of mayhem in my office, I emptied it of electronic equipment and set up a small computer workstation in my bedroom. There was not much time to do anything else and it was soon time for bed. I am keeping my eye on the Paxton Princess and will only be happy when I have a security system in place to keep it protected.

The weather was mainly dry today but with a few showers and very windy. The forecasts are of NW winds up to severe gale 9 and so I am pleased to be out of the sea at the moment. Leaders of the world's industrial democracies were today still debating the subject of providing aid to the Soviet Union with Thatcher the sticking point as usual, as indeed she was over the effort to get a deal on agricultural trade. An Israeli air raid on the southern Lebanon bases of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah people has raised fears of the rumoured release of another western hostage being delayed. Israeli Premier, Yitzhak Shamir, is interested in foreign diversions to his domestic problems as he survives a vote of no-confidence in his housing policy by a parliamentary vote of only 60-51 with 5 abstentions. Violence is now spreading across Kenya in the third day of unrest and the government looks to be in trouble with the threat of anarchy leading to warnings from western embassies. Sterling has risen to above the three Deutschmark barrier but Chancellor Major is still ruling out reductions in the interest rate.
