After breakfast, Diana took Daniel and Della to do some supermarket shopping and I took Debbie to the museum opposite the quay that was a merchant's house. Then we set off from Yarmouth in late morning and cruised off up the river Bure, stopping for lunch at Stokesby, before arriving at Horning and Heronshaw where we connected to the mains electricity. Cinema this evening as we heard news of Tory MP and Thatcher confident Ian Gow being killed by an IRA car bomb this morning.

We had breakfast on the Paxton Princess on and then Diana took Daniel and Della to do some supermarket shopping and I took Debbie to the museum opposite the quay that was a merchant's house. Then all of us (except Daniel) went on board the last remaining steam herring drifter which was also moored up for public exhibition and we found it an interesting old ship. We set off from Yarmouth in late morning and cruised off up the river Bure, stopping for lunch at Stokesby. I was annoyed with Daniel for not helping there which somewhat spoiled the experience.

We then cruised on to Horning and Heronshaw, slowing down past the village to have a detailed look at the other riverside bungalows and boathouses. Then we moored up and connected to the mains electricity before all going to the cinema in Norwich this evening. Diana, Della and I went to see "Back to the Future III" and Daniel took Debbie to see "Dick Tracey". It was another very hot day and, although we had not been taking much notice of the news, we heard today that Tory MP and Thatcher confident Ian Gow was killed by an IRA car bomb this morning after explosive was planted under the seat of his car. The government are shocked but resolved not to change policy, but they will have to in the end.
