Range Rover could not supply a model of the long-wheel-base version without a sun-roof

A mixed day of shooting, boating and painting as I combined work and play to seek out geese and repair a problem I found on Paxton Princess. I had visits from both the ceiling contractor and decorator today and authorised the Artexing the ceilings for me next Wednesday.

The bad news that the bad news that Range Rover cannot supply a model of the long-wheel-base version without a sun-roof

I awoke early on another cold morning and, after washing and dressing quickly, grabbed a plateful of cereal and then drove out to see what the geese were doing. I checked all of the surrounding farmland and concluded that the geese were flying off of their roosting broads and spending the daytime on the river-side grazing lawns. I took a pot at a covey of partridges to no effect and then saw that there was a whole field full of woodpigeon near to Hoveton Hall Farm that I will have to look in to. I then took the Paxton Princess out for a spin to give it a run after some months without being used.

I went in search of the geese on the river but, when I found them close to Horning Ferry, my airgun compressed air cylinder had become discharged and the pellets just bounced off them for lack of power. Also ran into trouble with the boat steering. The hydraulic fluid had got very low, and the steering was on the point of failure before I stopped and topped it up. This reminded me that I still must tackle the boat hydraulics before I can risk going out to see in it again. Back in time for a lunch of the roast chicken leftovers from Sunday and then the afternoon priming the woodwork in Harnser prior to the undercoat and topcoat later. I had visits from both the ceiling contractor and decorator today.

I accepted the price from the former who will Artex the ceilings for me next Wednesday and await the decorator's price to wallpaper the building. Apart from floor-coverings and blinds/curtains, this just leaves the internal doors and furnishings. I heard from Mann-Egerton today who gave me the bad news that Range Rover cannot supply a model of the long-wheel-base version without a sun-roof for the headroom that I need. It was cold today but sunny and dry which was nice for the boating.
