The purchase of a used Discovery with Mann Egerton accepting my old Range Rover in part exchange

A family trip to Norwich and there to agree the purchase of a used Discovery with Mann Egerton accepting my old Range Rover in part exchange.

This after taking Sam for a visit to Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership where the lady vet took a look at him and diagnosed that he had contracted a virus infection for which tablets were proscribed. Then a meal this evening for Di and I at Mr Chann's Chinese Restaurant.

I had left Sam's kennel door open giving access to his run and this gave me cause for regret this morning as he was awake early and whining for his food. Up, ready and out with him and back in time for breakfast. To Norwich as soon as we could manage afterwards and there we had a quick coffee break in Jarrolds before Diana went off shopping, the girls went to the library and I took Sam to the Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership where the lady vet took a look at him and diagnosed that he had contracted a virus infection. She dispensed four antibiotic tablets, to be given every other day, which was to last a week and I will have to bring him back after then to see if he is responding to the treatment.

Then over to Mann Egerton where I got the engineers to take a look at my air conditioning whilst I met their salesman and viewed their "nearly-new" Range Rovers and Discoveries. I was pleased to see that they had a Discovery with air-conditioning (front and rear) and also an automatic gearbox, coloured green and less than six months old. I took this for a test drive and was quite keen on it but left them to take a look at our Range Rover to value it and work out a part-exchange deal whilst I went back to join the family for lunch at The Pizza Hut. Daniel joined us for this meal and to go back with us to see the new Discovery afterwards. Diana was in the wheel for a test drive and Daniel overlooked the hi-fi system which, with its performance and compact-disc facility, impressed him considerably.

Diana was happy with the way the car ran and so I negotiated a deal for an exchange purchase. Back to Harnser where I had to make a difficult call to Marshalls of Cambridge to unscramble the alternative purchase and recover my documents and deposit. Over to Horning in The Jolly with Diana and Sam and there made arrangements for a meal this evening for Di and I at Mr Chann's Chinese Restaurant. A rest for a while reading todays' newspaper and the Land Rover Discovery information and then our meal and a bed, full of Chinese food.
