I dropped Diana off at home for her to get changed for "keep-fit" at the village hall and then drove on to St Neots to complete a few the financial transactions that I had been planning earlier in the day. Home and a call to Steven thinking to invite him to come over for the afternoon but, as his car was out of action, I drove over to Sawtry and brought him here; his wife arranging to collect him later. An afternoon chatting to him and catching up on our news, showing him the rifles and trophies from Scotland and the game that I had brought back. When Mary came round to get him, we arranged to go over to their house for a meal tomorrow night.

The evening working very hard to try and update these last two weeks journal and nearly managed it, leaving a couple of days left for tomorrow. It was finer and sunnier weather today which we hoped would last until tomorrow.
