As many of our customers are aware, due to escalating gas and electricity costs, the demand for dry sawn and split firewood has grown considerably this winter. At Blackrow Country Logs, we are fast running through our stored supplies of suitable dry wood.
Furthermore, the impact of the ‘Wood-Sure’ government sponsored scheme has also limited supply. This scheme (to which we were quick to join and are formally enrolled and approved as certificate number WS333/00002) guarantees firewood tested to less that 20% moisture resulting in many small suppliers stopping selling logs due to the cost and complexity involved. Heavy fines apply to those suppliers not adhering to moisture content regulations.
Customers are therefore advised to keep well ahead of the curve as stocks decline fast and we may struggle to meet our preferred turnround targets on delivery in the winter season.

Blackrow Country Logs has built its reputation by supplying firewood to local people and businesses in the North Norwich and Norfolk area. Wherever possible we supply our own honest, mixed, and well-dried logs as a natural by-product of a commercial woodland and not artificially and uniformly produced for the garage/supermarket trade. These logs have been cut, split and dry stored for more than a year and are environmentally friendly.
These have been supplemented in times of shortage by logs imported from Latvia, the only country in Europe planting more trees than are felled for harvesting.
Bags may be collected from our sustainably managed woodland or may be delivered for 10 bags or more within 10 miles or at reasonable cost further afield.
Norfolk Country Logs are not supplied loose but are always supplied in bags for convenience and can be easily transported direct to your log store.
As well as our delivery service for volume, there is always the roadside vending station on the Holt Road, just south of the Shorthorn Road near NR10 4DE for small quantities and emergency supplies at £5/bag cash which is stocked and open 24/7.

Free delivery is normally undertaken within 10 miles radius, but large loads may be delivered for just a modest additional fee further afield. We will try to keep our roadside vending station stocked where possible.
