On another sunny and warm day, a run for Sam along Crabbett's Marsh road after which a dinghy river trip with Sam and property work then the journey back from Horning to Paxton to update my journal this evening and also get reports from the latest canvassing.
The first results come through from South Africa but the confusion remains due to the teething problems with this first universal poll in the nation's history.
Another sunny and warm day and this one came early as Sam was awake and whining from 7.00am onwards. I told him to shut up a couple of times and made him wait until I was washed, shaved and breakfasted for his normal 8.00am walk.

Driving from Paxton to Horning after a some good retrieving with Sam and via Jim’s house for a meal and finally to Heronshaw and the new Harnser which Jim saw for the first time.
Off to join the Norwich & District Wildfowlers Club who ease a lot of duck and goose shooting on the banks of the Bure and in the Halvergate marshes and to be welcomed as a full member in view of my experience.
The warm weather continues but with some chance of change soon. A nice run with Sam this morning where he was entering the water nicely. The main trouble that I have with him is the incorrect way in which he holds the dummy but at least that is not a major fault. A few election enquiries but not much I could do before preparing to leave for Norfolk this morning.

Triumphing with Sam finding his lost whistles and then more election work as I and sort out my office. T
he South African polling has been extended a further day in some key areas which is good news.
The fine weather continues but for how long we shall see. It was about time that I collected my air rifle from the manufacturers in St Ives where they had been upgrading it to firearm-standard power. I was intending to take Diana this morning but it was her slimming club and so it was this afternoon when we went.

After getting out with Sam to do some quartering and waterwork, helping with the re-erection of Percy's destroyed posterboards, noting Derek's problems and so helping Terry canvas in Buckden.
The South African elections go on despite a large bomb at Jo'burgh's International Airport
Into a nice spell of settled weather with sun and warm south-westerly air making it very nice. Out with Sam to do some quartering and waterwork but did not do too much because of the heat. Back to make some calls to review the election returns and was disappointed to find that Percy had some posterboards down and nobody to help him get them up again.
