On our first full day aboard for a long time, we suffered in the sweltering heat and Diana was really suffering in the heat, carrying far too much weight, hardly able to walk around the walkway getting far too hot but we persisted and moved from Ranworth to Potter Heigham.
The main news is of the horrific genocide in Rwanda and of the international relief agencies trying to cope with it.
Our first full day on the boat for a long time and the process was made the more difficult by the hot sun raising temperatures to the high 80'sF.

After full preparation, eventually off on Paxton Princess for a few days cruising along to Ranworth Staithe and walking to view the Broads from the top of Ranworth Church tower which was truly remarkable.
Back to The Maltsters for a drink before we put the boat to bed and Sam in his box for the night.
The plan was for us was to use the next few days to try out a trip on the boat and certainly the weather did not let us down.

Recovery day walking Sam on another fine and sunny but with a cooler breeze, joining Diana and the girls for a trip to Norwich.
Then on to Cromer to see the film "My Girl II" which was very funny, moving and dramatic.
I took the decision to take things easily the day after all of the activity and excitement and so just walked Sam gently up the dyke before joining Diana and the girls for a trip to Norwich.

The aftermath of the Election Campaign, sorting out the wreckage at Luke Street which we then did in the sweltering heat. Then facilitating the candidate’s tooth filling as we both visited the dentist, relaxing afterwards unguardedly ***Content Redacted for five years ***.
The long journey afterwards to Diana and the girls, arriving in Norfolk before 9.00pm and in time to settle Sam and unpack before bed.
I would have liked to rested and recuperated after the efforts of the last few days but I was not to be allowed that luxury. I had to be up and out with the dog quite early so as to be able to clear up the wreckage of yesterday.
