Lay Day in Boston, checking out the Tourist Information, the library and book shops after which Daniel returned to join us at McDonalds for tea and then we went to the cinema, at Daniel's suggestion, to watch a Hero Turtles film, which the whole family enjoyed. News back at the boat about the weather was not good for the voyage the next day.
A good night but one which was rather too warm for us. Then, after showering and having our breakfast, we went into Boston on market day and had a look round. It was very warm and stuffy again and Debbie was fretting over the wasps that were becoming common as we go into August. We first made for the tourist information centre where we got all the leaflets on the town and had our morning drinks in their catering section. Then across to the library where the girls tried to find good books to read but they found the limited selection quite boring.

Lunch at a cafe and then to W.H. Smith's for the girls to look at some more Sweet Valley High books whilst I browsed through the biographies on John Major. Back to the boat afterwards where I listened to the weather forecasts which were not encouraging. Then Daniel arrived back after his trip, and we all went off to the local swimming pool for a welcome dip on a very warm and muggy day. A McDonalds for tea and then we went to the cinema, at Daniel's suggestion, to watch a Hero Turtles film, which the whole family enjoyed. Back to the boat in yet another shower and to bed early quite tired from all the walking.
