Making arrangements for Daniel & Angela to come home, by collecting them off of the train at Ely, and trying to find them a car before hosting my successor John Brown for some case work. Then, more restfully, taking Diana out to the cinema in Bedford tonight to watch "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle", a dramatic suspense film. Della's friend Katherine had what appeared to be another epileptic fit and was taken to Holly Ward, Hinchingbrooke this morning
After I had cheered Diana up a bit this morning and rubbed her tummy (as it was hurting with a bad period), I then telephoned Daniel an Angela and helped them make some arrangements to come home. They were to catch the train to Ely and we were to collect them there. I also called Mum and talked over with her the question of Daniel borrowing the car and, after resolving some insurance questions, this she was pleased to do as his lack of a car would be affecting his concentration for his forthcoming exams. Di then went to collect him and Angela from the train in Ely and I did the garden chores.

John Brown came round to discuss some Paxton casework with me and then, this afternoon, I sat down for once and watched the FA Cup final between Liverpool and Sunderland. The Second Division club gave Liverpool a good run for their money and came close to scoring in the first half before the giants beat them by at least two goals in the second. With Daniel at home and able to baby-sit for once, I took Diana out to the cinema in Bedford tonight to watch "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle", a dramatic suspense film about the widow of a gynaecologist tricking her way into the home of a former patient that she blames for her husband and baby's deaths and trying to take over her husband and baby instead!
Home and to bed with a nice night in prospect, even though Diana was still not feeling very well. We heard today that Della's friend Katherine had what appeared to be another epileptic fit and was taken to Holly Ward, Hinchingbrooke this morning to be kept under observation. We hope it is just epilepsy (which evidently does run in her family - her being adopted) rather than a tumour or anything more serious.
