Unhappily, the Range Rover refused to start, barely firing and sounding very sick even though I turned over the starter motor for ages and kept charging the battery to try again. I had to give up any thought of going in the end and telephoned Broadland Motors about putting it in for an emergency service. They came and collected it after lunch when I just managed to start the engine, but it sounded very ragged and in need of some attention.

I ended the day very tired and quite frustrated because the staining is not going quickly enough yet I needed to return the scaffold boards as they are probably costing a fortune.
