A later start to walk Sam and then linking my computer to the boat Wayplan navigational system to update charts etc.
Back to Paxton in time to walk Sam and then a quite evening watching the Rugby League on the TV
Another very late night and slept right through until my radio alarm went off at 8.00am. Sam was a little grumpy but waited until I had washed and eaten breakfast and then we had a walk along Crabbett's Marsh. At this time of year there is just the couple in the chalet opposite who say hello. There living accommodation seems to be a single room but yet they survive the cold and damp and still tend the garden lovingly.

Once I was back, I carried the computer into the boat and linked it up to the 2000D Decca navigator. Now that I have the 2000i Navstar Interface installed, the boat can link up with the Autopilot at the same time as the electronic and Yeoman plotters but not the computer. I had to set the navigator back to Nav2000 mode for the computer to be used as a plotter but it worked then. In the time available I edited the navigation marks (buoys mainly) on the electronic chart by digitising the real updated one with the Yeoman. To change the depth contours would have been more difficult but I will do those as well eventually.
Back inside for lunch and then the rush to pack everything up and load the car. My aim was to get the journey done and arrive back in Paxton in time to take Sam for a walk in the light and I just managed to do this. Time also to read my post before tea and change ready for the meal. A quiet evening watching televised Rugby League and updating my journal. I entered into the Christmas spirit by eating a few more walnuts and drinking a half pint of shandy! The weather mild and windy today but evidently rain is on the way.
