I was the first up as the rest of the family lay in but then, after washing, I took a little time to take advantage of Diana still being in bed before slipping out to my "other love". A good run with Sam this morning as the other dog-walkers do not get up quite so early. He had recovered from his troubles of yesterday and was his old self. All the chores to do after breakfast and then the rest of the gutters and down pipes to clear, working on the ground floor down-pipes this time.

A session in the garage with Daniel, ruthlessly clearing out unwanted items and sweeping the place up, before going in to enjoy a nice roast chicken lunch. Then my relaxation began as I first watched an exciting Italian Grand Prix at Monza where Daiman Hill wins his third race in succession, due to the mechanical failure of team-mate, Alain Prost. Young Daiman wears the same London Rowing Club colours on his helmet that his late father Graham Hill did before him. Later it was my new Sky Sports TV Channel that brought me a live Premier League clash and I celebrated Blackburn Rover's win over Liverpool by the only goal in a closely fought match. Still time to update these last two days' journal and have a nice bath and hair-wash before bed.
