Bank Holiday electioneering in Buckden continuing in fine weather with Derek Giles helping candidate Terry Clough and I with the canvassing as the "undecideds" seemed to be coming heavily our way and we looked set to do well. Diana was bored with staying at home but Sam got a couple of quick runs and some more work in the water.
The fine weather continued but I was not able to enjoy the bank holiday scene and was occupied chivvying along my election workers instead. I had put Derek into this target ward as an experienced "minder" and, after some initial caution from Terry Clough, he had been accepted and things were on the move. It was pleasing to see that, after a period of stalemate with both sides working hard, the re-canvas of the "undecideds" was coming heavily our way and we looked set to do well. Diana was bored with staying at home disappointed that we were not going out together today, but the girls were at school as if it were a normal day. Sam got a couple of quick runs and some more work in the water. Now that it is warming up, he is no longer reluctant to enter and is getting much better at the task of water retrieves. This exercise also wears him out nicely which he needs when not being walked long distances.
