Di's parents to lunch as Diana discovers my weekend cinema tickets and a row follows with us sleeping separately.
I was working away at my desk this morning with Della working at my other computer, typing in the latter part of her school project on John Lennon.

I had taken Sam for a walk earlier and was getting on quite well with my paperwork when Diana came in with the cinema tickets from the top pocket of one of my shirts she was washing.
"I am sure that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation, but why have you got these in your shirt", she said. I said that there was no acceptable explanation that I could give and she then went off and disappeared into tears and another huge upset began.
She pressed ahead with the lunch for her parents who were our invited guests and survived that stress and upset but we had a long chat afterwards and she called me all the names under the sun, accused me of everything and said that she wanted me out as she could not bear this any more.
According to her, she had known all along etc and this incident had only confirmed things. In response, I pressed the point that I had to stay at home, at least for the welfare of the children.
The lunch with Di's parents actually went very well the whole family enjoyed the event. Diana held up all right considering the stress she was under. It had been quite a day.
I went out later and saw Wiggly who was equally disturbed by this sequence of events but her initial reaction was to be quite prepared to have us move in together if needed and for us to move elsewhere if that was best.
At the end of the evening I came home and spent the night in the spare room downstairs, pensive about what was going to happen.
