Putting up Eynesbury Flagboards in the rain whilst Sally's family were all helping with the election preparation
I had to cancel the Royston Spring Pointing test entry for Sam today, as I had felt he was not ready for it and I really could not spare the time.

We awoke to a really wet and windy day, but the temperature was not too cold for my plan to prepare and erect the Eynesbury flagboards.
First I had to walk Sam and get the materials together and then I donned waterproofs and still got very wet. By arrangement to meet Wiggly at Sally's house who, now being back from holiday, was able to help us with Brian to prepare and paste up twenty poster boards in their garage.
With this under way, I enlisted the help of Sally's father, Peter Stanley, to collect my trailer from home. In return for getting his help in emptying my trailer of all the rubbish turned out by Diana, I collected some bags of cement for him which also released Brian to paste up the boards.
Di had been taking advantage of the new loft stairs to get up there and clear things out. It had been a project for her to immerse herself in to cope with the stress and she had been really getting into it.
The trouble was that both Daniel and I were anxious about the things she was throwing out! By the time all this had been done, I had to get back to take the family out for a rare Little Chef Saturday lunch together which we all enjoyed.
After this, I got the help of Wiggly and Terry Thayne of Eynesbury to meet me at Sally's house and set off to site the boards. We had mixed success but at least made a good start so that the ward looked busy and supportive.
Home for tea after and, with Wiggly going to spend the evening bowling with Tracey and some friends on her birthday, I spent the evening working on my election and paperwork and had a reasonably early night.
Chris Colbert came round to see me to collect the documents for the FOCUS copy. Young Verity went exploring and found Debbie and the rocking horse to keep her amused.
