Debbie talking more and more of boys and pleased to be going roller-skating again
Debbie talking more and more of boys and pleased to be going roller-skating again

Recovering from our walks and considering plans for the Edinburgh Fringe programme and the LibDem conference to be fitted in with a boating holiday and Wiggly’s drama.

I had dropped by to The Hayling View and picked up three nice cards from Diana and the girls.

Diana was helpful and polite, Della affectionate as usual and Debbie talking more and more of boys and pleased to be going roller-skating again

A lay in until around 8.00am and then I made the morning tea and brought it up with the mail as usual. We received both the Edinburgh Fringe programme and the details of the LibDem conference which were interesting.

I was a little depressed that I had not heard from the builders which left us without a starting date for much of the urgent Redgrave work.

I was also worried about how we were going to fit everything in with trips intended for the above festivals/conferences, a Norfolk boating holiday and that without time for Wiggly's rehearsals and my opportunities to see the girls.

I enlisted the help of Wiggly in these respects and, once I had briefed her on what to do, I took Sam out for his run on a much cooler day, where I had to discard my shorts and don trousers for the first time in a while.

Both Sam and I were stiff at first but then got into the swing of it. Wiggly went out later but had little success researching the matters of employment and licensing law and needed some further encouragement and advice from me before she then solved most of our outstanding scheduling problems.

I had dropped by to The Hayling View and picked up three nice cards from Diana and the girls. Diana was helpful and polite, Della affectionate as usual and Debbie talking more and more of boys and pleased to be going roller-skating again.

I called Diana later and then the girls later still and made arrangements to see the girls overnight in Norfolk on Tuesday evening and then bringing them back on Wednesday night.

Wiggly could then go to her Wednesday rehearsal so as to be free for our long-delayed boat trip over the weekend. It was also agreed that the girls could come to see two of the Narnian Chronicle stories at the end of September with me and that they would look after Sam whilst I was at the Edinburgh festival.

Then Wiggly heard back from the builders and we could also arrange for them to be seeing us at Redgrave and starting work almost immediately so that all of the day's problems were dealt with in the end. Into the evening, writing up these last few days' journal whilst Wiggly took an hour out for a trip to the gym and then we enjoyed a nice meal together before bed.

As we retired, we realised that we were going to be away from one-another the following night for the first time since we got together and this was a strange feeling.
