The last hot day, getting gradually cooler, as I sort and saw logs this morning and got my Reliant van started, ran cleaned and then recharged.
Later to visit Debbie’s family getting her to copy my papers and, taking Rebecca with Paul to her NCFC Academy feeder session in the evening.
Ana Paun, an 11-year-old girl who was attacked by a dog in Birmingham has backed calls for American bully XL dogs to be banned.
This was billed to be the last of the very warm days and it started reasonably cool and got hotter later. I served Kathleen morning tea in bed but she shot out once I had informed her that I had served Freddie his in the lounge. I then made myself some French toast, as Kathleen did not want any breakfast, and then researched a service that could digitise my old video films for uploading to my website. I then tackled my Reliant which was a most overdue task. I managed to start it and took it for multiple runs along the woodland tracks before parking in front of my sheds and charging its 6volt battery fully.

I then worked on cutting up logs on the Alcon building, managing quite a number, before going back inside in the air conditioning to have some lunch. It continuing warm, I then decided to contact Debbie and soon drove over to her house ready to get her signature on my house sale papers and then get them photo-copied. She was a little late back from the park with Rebecca and Michael and so I chatted to Paul and thumbed through the photo-album and folder that Debbie had produced from their three-week Canadian holiday. They all eventually returned when I learnt that Rebecca had her first NCFC Academy feeder session at The Nest and so I opted to accompany Paul and go with her to watch. She was amongst much older and more experienced girls, apart from just two colleagues of the same age, and was a bit overwhelmed and diffident but survived the experience without getting too depressed.
I tried to encourage her and deflect her dad’s frustration and perhaps she will grow into the lessons for she will have about 5/6 before they make decisions on who to keep and develop. The journey home to find Debbie still copying my papers and then a late drive back to Blackrow. No daylight left to garage my Reliant van and ATV, but I managed it with difficulty in the end. My meal and then my journal before bed.

Two men who intervened were also treated in hospital after being bitten by the animal, a bully XL crossed with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Ana's mum said she thanked God her daughter was alive. The prime minister's spokesman said the attack was shocking and the government was taking it extremely seriously.
