Day of Industry Microcomputer Industry scheming and arrangements with important organisations and allies as I complete Barclays administration and Thatcher escalates her disputes with GCHQ unions and Ulster prison governors
A lay in until 7.00am and then to set down yesterday’s events. A breakfast of toast and fruit juice and then a full hair wash and brush up to try to dispel my tiredness. On time to the office for a full work day without external visitors or meetings. A day to catch up. Pretty good progress in completing my arrangements for the BMMG/DTI initiative and meetings will now take place with Dr Chris Shelton to settle on a draft LAN (local Area Network) philosophy. A fair mail greeted me this morning and the company remains very busy.
The telephone monitoring system is installed today and with it cost allocations and the options decided upon for the reporting system that will follow. Also today I completed the arrangements for the Export IT seminar and agreed a date and place for the important BMMG/UKITO meeting. After office hours, I complete the company administration for the Barclays Deeds of Postponement and also the reissue of Xitan Share Certificates. News today that Mrs Thatcher has refused to consider major compromises from the GCHQ unions and I think that this hard line will generate even more opposition. In Africa over 36 inches of rain have transformed a merciless drought into a landscape of torrents. In Northern Ireland all the prison governors have signed a paper blaming the government for lack of security effectiveness. On time to bed, still tired from this stressful week.
