A decision to spend a few nights on our new boat and so, after Debbie tended her pony, we set off and arrived in Wroxham for some more purchases by 3pm and were then on the boat at Heronshaw by dusk. I took Daniel and Debbie to see ‘Ghostbuster II’ this evening before we retired to our bunks for the night.
We awoke this morning and made the decision to spend a few days on our new boat. Di took Debbie to the stables so that she could do her horse riding and the rest of us spent the morning getting everything ready for the boat. I typed up a letter for the Norfolk Yacht Agency which pointed out the outstanding problems and queries for the boat. By 12noon, we had set off and we stopped for lunch at The Happy Eater soon after. We were in Wroxham by 3pm, where we bought some new mooring ropes and accessories and then we settled ourselves into the Rolyat Princess by dusk.

This first evening, we spent at the moorings, using the fan heaters from the shore supply to keep warm and to save power. We had an unfortunate experience with the TV, which we connected at the opposite polarity to that needed – and blew a fuse and destroyed the aerial amplifier into the bargain! This evening, I took Daniel and Debbie to see ‘Ghostbuster II’ at a Norwich cinema. We enjoyed it but it went on to quite late. Then to bed, finding the bunks a bit strange on our first night.
