My main worry has been the slowness of healing and pain in my foot, which, now that I air it with respite from the bandaging, seems to be more than the dressing sticking and is internal to the foot where the scalding must have done some other damage. I was looking forward anxiously to my visit tomorrow to the hospital. I was making progress with filing my press cuttings with lots more still to do. It is forecast to get windy and wet again
I started the day quite well and decided to take my dressing off of my foot and leave it open to the air to dry off for a while. The wound keeps weeping with the bandages not giving it this opportunity. I worked in my office all day, sorting out my press cuttings and sticking them into my Little Paxton Scrap-book. Diana went shopping and got several things for me and at last I am getting up to date with my administration.

As the day wore on, I took longer rests with my foot up in the lounge and, although the wound did appear to be drying up, the pain then came back with a vengeance. I originally thought that the pain was from the dressing sticking to the wound and hurting when I moved my foot, but I now realise that it is internal to the foot where the scalding must have done some other damage. The wound feels stiff and painful when I stand up or even sit with my foot down. I look forward anxiously to my visit tomorrow to the hospital and am now worried that it will take far longer for my wound to heal up than I thought. Went to bed early tonight. Diana had to go out late for the second evening running, to collect Debbie from friend' birthday parties and this activity is becoming quite wearisome. By the end of the day, I had finished sticking in the village press cuttings, but this still left those on myself and family and the large pages of scrap information on the village that I normally keep. It is forecast to get windy and wet again and we have hardly any respite from this.
