The slow routine to get washed and ready as we did so tentatively in the cold and then the family went shopping and I stayed behind at the boat servicing the engines and waiting for the sign-writers to visit after which we had changed "Rolyat Princess" into "Paxton Princess". We set off and went downstream to the Helska Leisure Centre where we moored and the family went swimming but I could not because of my foot and then back to the moorings again to arrive by dark.
I was the first awake on Friday morning and switched the heating up high and made the morning drinks so that things were warm for Diana. It was a slow routine to get washed and ready as we did so tentatively in the cold. After breakfast, the family went shopping and I stayed behind at the boat servicing the engines and waiting for the sign-writers to visit. I managed not only to change the engine oil on the Perkins 4108, but also to get at the oil filters and change them too. This involved squeezing under the floorboards to get to the port engine oil filter which was quite an achievement.

I kept the family waiting for their lunch when they returned, clearing up the inside of the boat but this meant that the sign-writers had arrived by then to survey the job. We were changing "Rolyat Princess" into "Paxton Princess" and they wanted to come back another time but I convinced them that the weather (that was calm and sunny if cold) could not be bettered in February and so they stayed to finish the job. They also went over the "Princess" part of the name as well to make them match beautifully. We went off to Wroxham for lunch as they worked and came back to find them just leaving and I paid them the £30 for the job. They pulled off the road to let us through and promptly got stuck and so we had to tow them back on and reverse up the path! Once we got back to the boat, now called Paxton Princess, we soon set off and went downstream to the Helska Leisure Centre where we moored and the family went swimming but I could not because of my foot. We cruised back to the moorings again to arrive by dark and spend the evening there, reading and doing various other relaxing things.
