A bit of a lay in this morning after several late nights, washing my hair, as well as showering and shaving, before dressing for breakfast and there was only Della left when I came down. Some time showing new gardener Bill how to vacuum the pond after which I spent time analysing the positive canvassing results by computer.
Then my current routine of attending Eaton Socon at the beginning and end of the evening and this time sandwiched a Little Paxton Parish Council Leisure and Amenities meeting in between where I got £7,500 towards a new Village Hall extension and several other things agreed.
I slept on a little this morning after having had several late nights in a row. I washed my hair, as well as showering and shaving, before dressing for breakfast and there was only Della left when I came down. I attended to my domestic tasks first thing; firstly my fish and plants, and then the swimming pool. The skimmer had been stopped by the thermometer washing down it again and so the debris had fallen to the bottom. I had to clean it out again, but this did give me the chance of showing Bill how the job was done and I hope that he will be able to take over most of the job next week and save me the time.

Once back in my office, I drank a cup of coffee and used the Amstrad to print out the statistics for yesterday and then to estimate what the polling day result would be based on our "Richmond Formula". It all looks very good at the moment, but we can never really tell. Then I spent some time with the system, trying out many of the facilities and printing out selective lists of information for our current campaign. After lunch and some more organising telephone calls, I updated my journal and keyed in more of those entries for when I was in California. I did my current routine of attending Eaton Socon at the beginning and end of the evening and this time sandwiched a Little Paxton Parish Council Leisure and Amenities meeting in between. I successfully got a couple of canvassers out this evening and then had a very good parish meeting where I managed to get £7,500 towards a new Village Hall extension and several other things agreed.
