On the day that Di's parents visited, after getting lost, I suffered from a bad headache from stress and dehydration on a very warm and humid day but carried on staining windows and frames as Steve stained more cladding.
After erecting a scaffold over the dyke in front, the roofers felted and battened that end and installed the window frames. Although dry today, the weather forecast for tomorrow was very wet and stormy which was a blow.
I slept heavily after yesterday's efforts and then woke up with a start at 7.00am with a slight headache. To the garage where I did some more window staining, this time finishing off the upstairs dormer window frames and then using them together to form a bench for the windows themselves as I started to stain them. Steve had set himself up to do some staining of the cladding and I guided him to get the same even finish that I had been achieving there. The morning turned very warm with the sun and humidity becoming quite uncomfortable and, as I worked to clear up the corner of the garden, I got a terrible headache that I could not shake off until I had taken tablets and rested this evening.

We had a delivery of Rockwall wall insulation which I also helped to unload. The two other workmen first erected a scaffold over the dyke-side hip for the roofers and then felted and battened the front end of the building, installing the upstairs front window frame in the process. Next they laid the bathroom floorboards and plan to start on the downstairs ceilings tomorrow. Di's parents arrived rather late this morning having been diverted and lost in roadworks on the Norwich ring-road. After coffee, we took them to the Wroxham Bridge Restaurant and enjoyed a nice lunch, but they then had to leave soon afterwards. More staining for me this evening whilst Diana took the girls to the playing field. Della is now almost completely competent at riding her bicycle. Although dry today, the weather forecast for tomorrow is very wet and stormy which is a blow.
