After dealing with Debbie’s overnight tummy ache, I was up and out early with Sam and then took him into Norwich with the family to get him used to activity. Successfully caught Doris’s mole today. An evening dinner at the very stressful Mr Chann’s Horning Chinese Restaurant The weather was fine if cold and dull, but mist prevailed all day as the air quality deteriorated.
This time, I was having problems with Debbie last night. She was complaining about having a tummy ache, but I settled her down in the end. Della was fine and slept through the night. Up early to shave, dress and then walk the dog. I came back via Romany where I found that I had indeed caught the mole and Doris Vincent was even more excited than I. After a few days, it come as something of a triumph and is equivalent to stalking a deer or trapping a rabbit. She did not want me to hang it up and so I threw it into the dyke which was a pity as I like to display them as trophies.

I took Sam into Norwich with us and, after we dropped the girls off at the roller-skating rink and Di and I had a coffee and scone together, I took the dog for a walk around the city centre, getting him used to the people by making him sit by the pavement and watch the world go by. I then went over to Chapelfield Park and gave him some exercise and was able to use the dog toilet disposal bins. He learnt from all this experience but still needs several more such trips before he will be steady with people. Diana had a good look round at the craft shops and was able to buy the candle colourings and materials that she wanted.
Lunch at McDonalds after collecting the girls and making a visit to the Giant Pet Store primarily to get more food for our own "giant pet". We bought some wild bird food and, once we had got back, I made a bird table and erected it outside the new Harnser kitchen window whilst Di took the girls swimming. I took Diana for an "Eve of Valentines Day" meal at Mr Channs Horning Chinese Restaurant where the food was as nice as usual but our enjoyment of it was spoilt by the cook's continuous tirade at the waiters which kept the whole place on edge.
The weather was fine if cold and dull, but mist prevailed all day as the air quality deteriorated. A letter from Di's mum today and the Norwich & Peterborough lady at Wroxham also delivered Yellow Pages books as a side-line with her husband and son. Somebody found Sam's lost dog collar today and he was re-united with it. He had a reasonable day all things being considered but I try to keep him under even closer control.
