A long walk with the dog before Daniel came over to Horning and we enjoyed a boat trip together. After he left. I then drove home to Paxton. The new Land Rover Discovery is still driving well. Home in time to unpack, greet the girls and get ready for bed with Diana but little else.
I slept well enough after again managing to get sufficient ventilation without the accompanying gnats. Another long walk for the dog; keeping a close eye on him this time after recent experiences. Then back to do a mountain of washing up before settling down to the task of updating the navigational charts for the latest quarter's changes. I got on quite well before first Jack arrived for a chat and then later Daniel came over again.

He had some small adjustments to do to his parcel shelf and I was pleased to see him using his new toolbox. I was even more pleased that he accepted my invitation to come for a small trip on the Paxton Princess so that we could charge the batteries, try out the mechanics and electronics after my recent service and give Sam a chance on it in his new crate. Sam was fine both inside and out of his "cage", the weather was fine and the boat handled well but I did have trouble starting the port engine as if there was some air left in the fuel system after changing the filter. Not much time to do anything more after Dan left except clear up the place and pack to come home. A good journey, completing the trip in an hour and three quarters despite filling up with fuel. The new Land Rover Discovery is still driving well. Home in time to unpack, greet the girls and get ready for bed with Diana but little else.
