A day of recovery in Horning, walking Sam along the sawdust road and then into Horning for the Eastern Daily Press before back as the weather started to change and that icy wind started up again.
Just managing to get out to clean the car before the drive back to Paxton. To bed at a reasonable time tonight; still very tired after my efforts and lack of sleep.
Late to bed last night and alone this morning as I struggled to get up and out with Sam. He was tired from yesterday and so was not too bothered until a neighbour's car going up the road got him going. Just a walk along the sawdust road and then into Horning for the Eastern Daily Press before back as the weather started to change.

It had been bright and sunny, if cold, but now it clouded over. I opted for a morning drink and half an hour with my feet up reading the newspaper report of Norwich City's draw with Aston Villa. I did not have much energy to tackle the outside jobs but, after making a few return telephone calls and clearing up inside, I did get out to clean out the car. It was so full of mud but at least the deep mats and seat covers protected it from the worst.
A late lunch at 2.30pm of salad sandwiches and then just managed to find time to put The Jolly under the old boathouse before having to pack up. A modest run with Sam and then on my way to arrive just as it was getting dark. Jack popped round this morning, and I gave him the keys back and a £20 note for his trouble. Once back in St Neots, I drove through a car wash which got all of the mud off of the outside of the car. To bed at a reasonable time tonight; still very tired after my efforts and lack of sleep.
