A rather non-productive day after a poor night’s sleep but a walk with Sam in the snow as the Christmas Lights come down. Norwich beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 away to go through to the next round of the cup
One of those days where, try as I may, I could not achieve very much. I had a poor night after not being able to get to sleep for ages and unsettling Diana as well so that she had to go and sleep in another room. Then I got up slowly but still was out with Sam before breakfast. The snow was still laying around but thawing slightly as the day wore on.

The river was still over the road but not as deep as it was. I just put Sam through his obedience exercises and a few simple retrieves in the snow and left it at that. A joint effort with Diana to take the Christmas lights down from the balconies and store them away for next year and then just a couple of hours studying my boat show information before Diana insisted that I take her, the girls and Daniel and a couple of friends out to lunch after which I spent a couple of hours this afternoon completing the assembly of my aerial tuner.
Out with Sam again, home for tea of kippers and then this evening trying to get my computer fax reception working with the aerial tuner. I could not improve the signal from the active aerial and, in fact, it made it much worse and so that exercise was a waste of time. My journal and then a bath and to join Diana watching the TV before bed.
I was listening to the sports programme on the radio this afternoon and was pleased to hear that Norwich had beaten Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 away to go through to the next round of the cup whilst Everton only drew 1-1 away to Bolton. The sports world all seem to have taken Mike Walker's side against the Norwich chairman Brian Chase but I am glad his old team are doing better than his new one.
