The family have their last ride on the cable car before collecting them at Fisherman's Wharf travelling home

Packing checking on the flight and letting the family have their last ride on the cable car before collecting them at Fisherman's Wharf travelling home via London During the journey, reading my backlog of shooting magazines, the Financial Times and Economist and even Byte Magazine.

One Debbie had replaced her, I sat on her bed and dialled into CIX for my messages and found one from Wiggly

. It was nice to hear from her in affectionate terms but sad that she had been having a hard time politically and needed support.

I replied quickly with a reassuring email and hoped that would cheer her up somewhat until I could get to her. A tussle on the telephone with British Airways, trying to get some information on the flight back later today and had to dial London in the end to get some sense.

Then to take charge of the packing effort and we were soon checked out of the hotel and ready to leave. I had given back the loan telephone and the room key and, with that, also expressed my satisfaction with our stay.

We opted to drive straight out to the airport to check in our baggage early and get our seat allocations and this paid off later as we had seats with full legroom in plenty of space in seats 26 J&K.

This we had done soon after 11.00am and we drove back into San Francisco in the time remaining until 2.45m and there had a meal and did some shopping. I let the family have a last ride on the cable car and collected them at Fisherman's Wharf after I had bought a few jazz CDs in the city.

The airport return went well, and we caught our flight easily and without fuss. The journey was long but reduced by favourable wind speeds and was more tolerable than I had anticipated.

During the journey, I read by backlog of shooting magazines, then the Financial Times and Economist and even had time for Byte Magazine. I tried to sleep but did not succeed.
