Arriving in the UK having lost a day due to the time zones and making our way home, contacting Wiggly to arrange to see her later.

I was jet-lagged, sleep-deprived and very busy trying to order competing priorities and was just pleased initially to take her for a Chinese meal at The Caxton Gibbet for a very enjoyable, if expensive, meal before having her in my arms and laying together after making love.

A good night followed after some initial thrashing around from me and coughing from Di and it was her that woke first and used the bathroom.

The flight was therefore bearable, and we soon arrived. I was one of the first ready and off the plane but then had to wait for the family to get ready and that put us to the back of the immigration queue.

No problems collecting the car and a good journey home, just stopping for a single rest break and cup of tea to keep awake. The Discovery drove heavily and noisily after the Lincoln Town Car so that we could hardly hear the stereo system.

Once home, I opted to concentrate on my messages and mail to catch up on what had been happening and also made contact with Wiggly to arrange to see her later. My mail was horrendous and quite a problem to even sort; let alone deal with. I isolated the cheques for urgent in payment and, getting a few things together, set off to do some St Neots shopping, transactions and to meet up with Wiggly.

I was jet-lagged, sleep-deprived and very busy trying to order competing priorities and was just pleased initially to take her in my arms and lay together after making love. She had suffered in my absence from the stresses of political work and the election campaign on the one hand and the personal strain of me being away in California with my family and without her on the other.

For two weeks, this had been too much. She had been through a real crisis of confidence and was not sure that she even wanted even to be a councillor any more. I did a lot of listening and she felt better all of the while.

I had got her the biggest bouquet of flowers ever as I had promised and a couple of cartons of fresh soup for us to eat to add to the two small fish sculptures and three jazz CD's that I had already brought back as presents for her. She had got home before 5.00pm and had been pleased to see me.

Then I took her out for the evening for a Chinese meal at The Caxton Gibbet for a very enjoyable, if expensive, meal. Dog-tired and drained with even my sexual drive depleted, I then went back to bed in Paxton, arriving and settling beside Diana who was fast asleep and snoring.
