After a night disturbed by false alarms, down for breakfast and to exchange messages with Wiggly.
A day canvassing for her with others in Eynesbury and Priory policy meeting to follow. Late home after making love to Wiggly
I was quite groggy again this morning which was mostly down to the trouble of adjusting to European times but was also due to being woken up at 4.00am by one of our smoke detectors going off and setting the alarm sirens wailing.

It was the one in the central landing, in the connection between the two houses, because it went off twice more whilst I was up, despite their being no obvious reason for this occurrence.
Down late to breakfast in my dressing gown after more journal writing and then to swap affectionate Email messages with Wiggly at work. The rest of the morning editing and transferring the diary notes to my main computer and then time this afternoon to prepare for the evening's campaign.
I had telephone calls with Sally and John Roscoe about campaign materials and then I typed up the campaign summaries and manning schedules for inputting and alteration to include all of the names and addresses of helpers for the campaign. A walk for Sam in the sun again.
The weather has been really good since we got back and Sam is getting more mature and easier to control all of the time. An early tea and then out for an evening's electioneering. First a session for trainee canvassers and then a meeting at The Priory Centre for all candidates to discuss and agree policy issues for the campaign.
By conducting operations from Wiggly's house, I was able to be with her for most of the time. I brought her round to the priorities of the campaign and gently got her into the right mood for the evening canvas and then it was all hands to the pumps trying to get things ready for these early arrivals.
The training session went well with two new people and Derek joining the effort so that we had four experienced people paired up with four newcomers. There was not much time to do a general canvas but we visited most of the past users of postal and proxy votes and got their forms sorted out.
Then the rush to the Priory Centre for the general policy meeting that also went well. I first updated those present on the election progress and then they discussed the achievements of the past four years; those matters outstanding that were being actioned and finally the list of new ideas and priorities forming a total manifesto for the future four.
Drinks at the bar afterwards and late back to Wiggly's where we first had to clear away the wreckage from the canvassing effort and then she got undressed and we made love.
I sacrificed myself this time and concentrated on getting her to climax which settled her down for sleep. I left and got back a half hour after midnight which Diana, the next day, thought late for electioneering!
