Leaving Wiggly with a large number of chores to do at home, to the Cedar House surgery to see Dr Wright and the practise nurse for a minor operation to remove a wart-like growth from my right temple.
Later to see Marian Palmann of Pirie Palmann about the conveyance of Redgrave Stores and the Old Post Office Cottage for tax efficiency.
Then to Cambridge for a great Italian meal at the Grafton Centre and then watched "The Shawshank Redemption" at the adjoining cinema.
It was a day back at our Montagu Street office and I left Wiggly with a large number of chores to do whilst I prepared for my minor operation at Cedar House surgery.

Wiggly walked Sam again and seems to be getting most of that job for now but then I walked to see Dr Wright and the practise nurse for my 11.00am appointment, stopping of at the chemists on the way for the dressings that I had been told to get.
The small operation was to remove a wart-like growth from my right temple as I feared it could turn into something else. Since my father had died of skin cancer I never take any chances with this sort of thing and this was going to be sent away for analysis to put my mind at rest about it being benign.
The poor nurse got herself into a right state trying to put on one of these new skin-type dressings. She used about eight of them in the end and then the final one was a right mess anyway.
On after to see Marian Palmann of Pirie Palmann about the conveyance of Redgrave Stores and the Old Post Office Cottage. We had both been expecting to see one-another earlier but the receptionist had confused us both and now was the best time.
We went through the deeds and agreed how to convey the properties to Diana and I in equal shares but the goodwill and fixtures/fittings (ie the business) to me for tax reasons.
It seemed that the drinks license can be dealt with personally rather than by a solicitor, contrary to what we were otherwise led to believe. Back to work on and then we went over to Cambridge in the evening to have a great Italian meal at the Grafton Centre and then watched the "manager's choice" of film after at the adjoining cinema.
It is the custom to feature a film each week at 9.00pm on Thursday that has formerly done the rounds and is just about to be released on video. This week's choice, "The Shawshank Redemption", was an excellent one. Though long, it was gripping and very entertaining so we were well pleased by the evening, and indeed the day.
