It was to be the warmest day so far, according to my senses, with daytime temperatures in the low 90's and us having to wait until very late, sitting on top of the boat, before cabin temperatures would go back into the 80's.

In fact, the outside temperature did not drop below 70degF all night as the place had an almost mediterranean or tropical feel to it.

We walked Sam and then set off quite early, keeping the canopy top up, with just the sides down, to combine breeze with sun thankful that we were on the water in such hot weather.

We eventually decided to moor at Stokesby, finding the spaces next to the playground free for a change. After taking Sam for a walk around the village and using the local shops, we ordered lunch in The Ferry Inn and I remembered all of the bad habits and poor service that they had with their staff being really sullen.

At least the food was alright when we received it. Later, we used the food from the shop and fridge to make ourselves a much nicer tea and just visited the pub for a drink in the evening which was more contact with it than either of us wanted again. T
