A shock concerning Wiggly’s play Blithe Spirit after I had visited The Hayling View to work and messaged Diana.
Wiggly and I enjoyed a salad at the Anchor in Tempsford whilst I reviewed her mornings work but then learnt that the play would have to be postponed due to a serious illness as Cathy has been suffering from breast cancer.
Tiredness overwhelmed me and then I fell asleep dictating my journal to Wiggly
I tried to get us up and breakfasted at a reasonable time and then we walked Sam together with me helping Wiggly learn her lines for Blithe Spirit.

I wasn't keen and Sam was a bit out of control but it meant a lot to her for me to help her. I left her in the office with a load of action items whilst I went to Paxton for my regular Tuesday morning visit with some trepidation.
I was determined to keep up my normal routine of visits there regardless but I did not know what to expect. I dealt with some mail, took other items away, photocopied still more and then filed my papers that I had finished with.
Diana and Della were presumably in Cambridge and Debbie at Whitmarsh Sterland again and there was just cleaner Susanne present for a chat until we both got on with our work. I wrote a long letter to Di in longhand outlining my feelings on the matter of my access to our house and my need to call by at the office and wondered how she would receive it.
When I got back I asked Wiggly to read this letter, which I thought was reasonable, and I got no encouragement by her thinking that its contents would upset Di. She quite rightly encouraged me to take her out to lunch and we enjoyed a salad at the Anchor in Tempsford whilst I reviewed her mornings work.
I was pleased with what she had done and am increasingly able to rely on her for correspondence and arrangements. She had received a letter from home from her Dad which she was concerned about but it was very encouraging and shows her parents struggling to understand our relationship.
I think that he sounds quite nice. I spent the afternoon in the office trying to get my papers in order again whilst Wiggly made one of her forays into Tesco's. Although she complains about going I think she enjoys the occasions, especially if she doesn't have to be too careful about the amount she spends.
We spent a fairly quiet night at home, having decided against another hectic night out. This was quite relaxing until Wiggly's "Stagefright" director, Gary phoned to say that the play would have to be postponed due to a serious illness in the cast.
It seems that Cathy has been suffering from breast cancer and has had a relapse but more will be revealed on Sunday when she is to meet with the others. I knew that something was going on the other night, as I had said to Wiggly, with all that whispering, but I could not put my finger on it and now it seems that most of the others knew that something was up which was why they were behaving strangely.
I was really sorry for Wiggly and the others, who were looking forward to it so much and I got her to telephone Michael (who would be most affected) to try and console him. I was very tired and struggling to write up the affairs of these last few days and then Wiggly offered to help me type if I dictated it.
Tiredness overwhelmed me and then I fell asleep dictating my journal to Wiggly who stayed up and carried on describing herself in a good light for me to read in the morning. I did not have to alter too much of it!
