I had to dodge some quite persistent drizzle by staying to do the washing up and exchanging CIX messages with Wiggly and John Roscoe.

Phone calls also to Sally and they all ended up with the Eynesbury election FOCUS under much better control. Worked on later on the election organisation and with discussing the correct procedures with Sally for organising the Town Council Group.

Although we have made her mayor, she still lacks political nous and organisational knowledge and I think I helped avert a relationship crisis. Then upstairs with the tool kit and parts to move the curtain rail and curtains into the attic room.

Late to lunch and to bake my pizza and then out in the much-improved sunny and breezy weather to mow the lawns for the first time in weeks.

A bit of a rush over to Sutton to see Jim tonight. I walked Sam before and after a nice tea that Julie made for us, played with Laura and Tom and then took Jim out for a drink.

A long evening chatting about Wiggly, the universe and everything before rushing home to call her in her Brussels hotel. I had forgotten the time difference and it was coming on midnight before I got back to her after she left a message.

She is having a rest at this dodgy conference in this dodgy hotel and is evidently speaking first in the morning - the keynote speech!. She had got eight cans of lager with her boss Charles at Stanstead Airport and they had downed them whilst waiting the hour and a half for the plane!
