After not getting to bed until 11pm after writing quite a few days journal, I was tired this morning but still woke up early on another bright day. After breakfast with the family, I phoned Des Merrill and talked over the situation. He still seems to have kept his ambition to beat the Tories. This afternoon, I took a trip out to look at Koi carp as I had put off buying any more until now. I went first Avenue Fisheries and bought some fish food but then felt that the stock was to diseased. I drove on to Needingworth Fish Farm where the carp were much healthier but they only had an Israeli stock which is not so good.

Home latish for tea and then I cleared out the houses gutters and down pipes this evening, which was a job long overdue. They day ended with a suspense film on TV and I ended up in bed at 10.45pm. News is of the National Party Executive of the Labour Party meeting and considering a list of seven policy documents which are intended to modernise the party’s image. Another warm and sunny day today.
