A home visit to The Hayling View

A home visit to The Hayling View after a deep night’s sleep and waking to a cool autumn morning appreciating the peace and beauty of the place. A good journey back, time on my accounts and with Diana and Daniel, who was also home.

The Hayling View house and gardens were fine but I had to look at the central heating which was not working. I then made and lit a fire to keep at least the lounge warm.

I fell asleep straight away after the strain of my late night and awoke to sunshine on a cool autumn's morning. Quite quickly washed, shaved and dressed after breakfast and then ready to leave for home. As I stood on the Heronshaw stairs I could not help appreciating the peace and beauty of the Norfolk Sunday morning as geese and a Heron wheeled overhead and a squirrel bounded up the road. The journey was good, with a minimum of traffic and I was soon home. I spent the day relaxing, reading the mail and local newspapers and then working on my financial accounts and bills that had to be paid.

Rested well (apart for an active half hour with Diana to make use of our short time together) and enjoyed breakfast, roast lunch and tea with the family before returning. Daniel was at home as an added bonus and I enjoyed some time together with him. The journey back was a bit more difficult in the dark, but I was able to settle in and go to bed soon after 11.00am. It was nice to see the family and I also managed to get my washing done. The Hayling View house and gardens were fine but I had to look at the central heating which was not working. I then made and lit a fire to keep at least the lounge warm.
