As the wind moved back to the north and the rest of the day turned steadily colder but drier after early rain, I enjoyed a well earned rest before walking Sam to Acle Bridge where I bought milk and an EDP.
We then holed up with me writing my journal before we cruised back from Acle Dyke home to Harnser in Horning via a stay in Ranworth Broad.
The startling news is of the Norwegian diplomats successfully brokering peace talks between Israel and Palestinian representatives.
A lay in after the recently missed sleep and it was gone 8.00am before we had stirred and started our morning routine. I took Sam on a walk across a plank, along the river bank and right up to Acle Bridge where I could buy an EDP and some milk for breakfast before coming back. Breakfast and, with Sam quite content to be tethered outside on the grass, we rested up a while as I caught up on my journal. We cast off for our journey home shortly afterwards as the sun came out and the early rain had cleared away. Even so, the wind had moved back to the north and the rest of the day turned steadily colder after we headed back in mid-afternoon.

I still decided to call in at Ranworth Broad for lunch and, because all of the staithe was full, we moored with the mud-weight and took the inflatable dinghy across with Sam for company. He was good about being tethered in the pub garden; particularly in view of the long delay in our food arriving. As usual, he attracted many admirers who he mugged ruthlessly when they approached. A circular walk around the common during which Sam was unfortunately attacked by a grumpy Labrador dog but when we got back, we had the satisfaction of seeing its owner make an appalling job of trying to get away on his boat which led me to comment loud enough for his hearing, "He controls his boat even less than his dog".
An ice cream and then all back on the dinghy to The Paxton Princess and thence off home to Horning. An evening of unloading the boat and then resting with the girls watching two TV films as Diana continued the good work before going out again to help her and carry on after by myself. The boat holiday had been successful in that we left it with all the major systems working and having put in another sea trip to revive our confidence. The startling news is of the Norwegian diplomats successfully brokering peace talks between Israel and Palestinian representatives that had led to an agreement for their to be self-determination for them with autonomy in the occupied territories of Gaza and The West Bank.
