Suffering a delay to my Rolls Royce commissioning efforts and I had to get involved in more Local Politics; reconciling views of my Liberal Democrat colleagues.
Two more runs with Sam in the sunshine and some particularly difficult water retrieves for him to do across the river with which I was very pleased.
I had stayed up late last night chatting to Sandy on the telephone and then checked with Percy this morning to see if there had been any further developments with Sheila Shorten overnight. She was still upset with Derek over the precipitative way in which he had pressed for the second St Neots market day for Tuesdays.

Even worse was the news from John Roscoe who was threatening to resign without saying why and so I undertook to go and see him before lunch to find out why. This was a pity as the weather was fine again and I was wanting to commission the Rolls Royce.
Even so, I used the intervening time to slip into St Neots to buy a new 125AmpHour car battery for it before dropping over to John. I had to listen to John's plans for manufacturing and selling electronic ignition systems for older cars before we walked along to the pub and chatted about things over a shandy and cheese sandwich.
I pre-empted things a bit by relating what Percy and I had been doing to re-organise our local councillors’ efforts and the party branch and then he told me what was bothering him. It seems that he was particularly upset with Percy over the allocation of committee places on the district and of the way it was done.
I brought him round and then quickly arranged a summit with Percy and Sally at 33 Avenue Road where we discussed the whole range of problems and decided how to deal with them. Home to see the handyman who had enlisted the help of his son-in-law as a "ladder-man" so that he could get up onto the conservatory to clean off the glass and stain the outside woodwork.
Two more runs with Sam in the sunshine and some particularly difficult water retrieves for him to do across the river. I am becoming very pleased with his progress. This evening, another visit from Louise as she typed in the last of the copy for her first leaflet ready to start laying it out.
Then Sandy and Derek Giles by arrangement to discuss the latest developments amongst my political colleagues. Derek agreed to come off the Policy Committee and to accept the review of this second trading day decision by members of the Town Council Group.
