Diana shopping this morning and I went into town to do some chores and so dropped in to see Market Square Motors and found that they would have a look at the Rolls Royce today. I was soon back with it for testing and left it with them whilst I had my hair cut and did some shopping.

I was disappointed upon my return to find that the garage had failed the car on four minor points and this gives me another headache. A trip in the afternoon to Ibbetts in Great Paxton where Diana and I bought a new Mountfield electric lawn mower for us to take to Horning tomorrow. Several telephone calls upon local politics this evening and then some problems this evening with Wiggly over her election campaign.

She had arranged to spend the evening with John Roscoe learning how to use the computer layout package to produce her first election leaflet but he had cried off and left her high and dry. I spent the evening working on a campaign plan and budget from which I deduced that Eynesbury by-election would be expensive in cost and intensive in effort to achieve the result that we want.

Jason Chambers brought my old Dad's motor car back this evening; washed and vacuumed ready for its next role with Di's parents.
