The main event today was the trip to Hinchingbrooke where Diana had a worrying appointment with the consultant gynaecologist to hear the results of a test. We had been getting quite worked up over the possibility of Diana being recommended to have a hysterectomy as we had been reading about many of these operations being performed when they were not really necessary. In the event we need not have worried as her tests showed no malignancy and the surgeon was recommending no serious action.
Even so, I was the only husband to elect to go into the consultation with an appointee rather than sit outside and we caused quite some interest as a result!
