Shopping in Bedford with Diana and to see the film "Clear and Present Danger" and then to take the family to the Kimbolton Statute Fair and I wait in vain again for a call from Wiggly
The morning was spent working hard on a range of paperwork and bills and then in summarising my journal for August but there were no calls of note.

In the afternoon, I took Diana to Bedford to see an exciting adventure film, "Clear and Present Danger" which, though hard to follow through being very complicated, was thoroughly enjoyable. Furthermore, the cost was only £2.50 each which was tremendous value.
I opted not to go to Norwich to watch their home match against Swansea in the League Cup but took Diana and the girls instead to Kimbolton for the annual Statute Fair. Della took Michelle Brown and Debbie took Amy Law and I looked after them and gave them extra money to make it a very enjoyable night for them all.
The weather had turned chilly but had remained dry for the time we were out. Norwich beat Swansea 3-0 anyway with new forward Mike Sheron scoring his first goal for the club in his first full outing.
