In Norfolk out of Diana's way in Norfolk on Wiggly's Housewarming party day whilst planning to go dog training but Jim was too sick to see me and so I caught up with local Norfolk football before travelling with Sam to the Basingstoke Travelodge.
I found out the next day that Wiggly had a good party, with her parents down and staying locally joined by friends from work and also from St Neots Players
I walked Sam first thing at The Coneygear, and it was interesting to see the network of footpaths by the river and in amongst the trees there which is a good place to go for a walk with a dog.

Then I loaded him aboard and made the journey into Norfolk, stopping at the 5-way roundabout to exercise Sam again and then at a Little Chef on the way for breakfast.
All the time, I was planning to give Jim a couple of hours to do his building work and then arrive for training but, when I called ahead, I found that he had been sick and ill all night and was not able to come out with me which was a shame!
This threw me for a while, but I used the opportunity to call in at Carrow Road to buy tickets for Norwich City's next two home league matches. On to Harnser where I collected the mail and a couple of things that were needed at home and put the telephone on to be able to receive messages.
I was then a bit stumped on what to do and so I had a cup of tea and then telephoned round to book somewhere for me to stay tonight. Then, foregoing the job of mowing the lawns and strimming the garden, I did some shopping in Wroxham for a new vacuum flask for me and a brush & dustpan for Wiggly's Housewarming and then opted to go and watch Wroxham Football Club's home football match.
The first time I had been at Trafford Road and I was quite impressed. The ground is little and quaint with open boundaries to the fields but they had just opened a new clubhouse. The match was a bit dull but they beat visitors Chatteris by two goals to nil. Then the long journey back out of Norfolk, down to the M25 London Orbital Ring Road along the M11 and around to the M3 turnoff.
I had stopped at the five-ways roundabout to walk and feed Sam again and so, when we eventually arrived at the Basingstoke Travelodge around 9.00pm, he could settle down after a short toilet ramble to sleep for the night. The room was comfortable and the facilities excellent; there being the choice of two restaurants at the service area where I could eat before retiring.
I found out the next day that Wiggly had a good party, with her parents down and staying locally joined by friends from work and also from St Neots Players. Some guests had stayed over until mid-day following and she had only got to bed at 5.00am!
