A walk into Wroxham for an evening meal at The Bridge Restaurant

After walking Sam, updating my financial affairs and checking on a few election issues, I collected Wiggly and set off to Norfolk, dining at the Bridge Restaurant

More of a lay in this morning than I intended, after awaking early at 6.00am and going back to sleep.

A fairly short walk with Sam and then a hectic couple of hours tackling my financial affairs which were most overdue.

I also checked a few election points and made some telephone calls whilst I had the chance and before I went away. Then a rush to pack up, put the dog box and tool kit in the car and to start to load it up. Diana was shopping in Tesco’s this morning and just returned before I left with Sam.

Over to Montagu Street were I collected Wiggly who took some time to get ready so that it did not matter that I was a bit late. Dropping off a batch of election leaflets on the way, we took off via Cambridge on the A14, driving on until we stopped at Barton Mills where I first exercised Sam and then went over to the Little Chef for a salad, a pot of tea and one piece of hot pecan pie to share.

Straight to Horning on arrival in mid-afternoon. Did not worry about Harnser but fired up the Paxton Princess and loaded our things aboard. First I connected up the shore-power to charge the batteries.

Then I used a broom to remove most of the dust and loose mud from the boat and set off up the river Bure to arrive at Wroxham in late afternoon. I found a good place to moor up by a former boatyard that was being redeveloped for houses.

The site was abandoned for the weekend and so made an ideal stopping place in this dry weather so that Sam could run around and crap without causing a nuisance.

Time to set up our duvet and sheets in the forw'd cabin and then I first petted Wiggly to a fine climax and then satisfied myself soon after. It was all right to leave Sam on board and go for a walk into Wroxham for an evening meal at The Bridge Restaurant after a drink at the Hotel Wroxham.

I was suffering from a strange acute tummy ache that took some time to clear up but we enjoyed the meal and evening, even if I was not very good company.

We were both too tired to worry about sex after getting back, but settled down for a sound and comfortable night's sleep in this tranquil and peaceful spot.
