I was getting to grips with the St Neots campaign and so chose today to go over to see Neil Campbell for the first Gransden canvassing.
In this way, I could train him and also get some first-hand impressions on what chances he stood in the campaign.
It was an unfortunate start, because the computer registers used for printing out the canvass cards were not in line with the real situation and had obviously not been updated properly.
This, plus the late start of the campaign after his being away on holiday together with the exceptional efforts being made in Staughton by John Grosvenor, meant that I decided that efforts should be concentrated there.
Whilst I was away in the villages tonight, Wiggly canvassed on own in Eynesbury and was not very happy about it.
At least I went to see her afterwards to see how she got on and to spend some time with her.
