Organising a Norfolk family visit after leaving Sam with Wiggly. Playing Monopoly, taking the girls bowling then roller skating. Once back, an evening St Neots walk and riverside meal
I had made arrangements to drive over to Horning for 9.30am this morning and had not had the chance to discuss in detail with the girls what they wished to do for the day.

I did not think that these activities would particularly involve Sam and so, in view of the day being sunny and hot again, I agreed to leave him in Eynesbury with Wiggly.
This was better from every point of view as she did not mind walking him early and late and was good company for her as she worked away on a range of administrative and domestic tasks all day.
Thus released, I got to Horning on time, even after stopping off at Wroxham to get out some cash on the way. Diana was quiet but polite and positive and both Della and Debbie very pleased to see me.
I went and saw how they had settled into the new room I had created and that was a great success with Debbie on Diana's old half of the pack-away bed, Diana still in the main bedroom on mine and Della on her foldaway chair set up in the new room.
Thus sharing this new room, they were getting on well and enjoying their stay. I had to arbitrate between them and got Debbie to make Di and I a mug of coffee before leaving her downstairs reading my latest financial summaries before going up to start the first activity was a good game of Monopoly.
I won a closely fought game with Debbie giving me a good run for my money. Then I took them out, stopping off at the new McDonalds at Roy's in Wroxham for lunch.
On into Norwich where we found a good place to go bowling at The Crome Centre behind the station. Della was nearly discouraged but completed the game and, if our final scores (me 135, Debbie 52, Della 36) were divided by our ages (48, 16, 11) she actually won (3.27, 3.25, 2.81)!
Then across Norwich to Roller skate where we had three hours of activity skating to disco music in a very hot barn. Though there were fans blowing and we took countless drinks, it was still a tiring and sweaty business.
Once I had got them back to Harnser and set off, I called Wiggly again so that she knew what time to expect me home. I had enjoyed this day with my daughters, hot and tiring that it was, but was still pleased to get back to Wiggly who had finished her work, showered and was ready for me.
Some affection and then time to leave on foot (the car was far too hot) for the town centre where we dined at The Bridge beside an open river with the river below.
The stroll back afterwards and then to bed after (in my case) Bournevita and banana for which I was much chided. We lay naked on top of an open bed keeping as cool as we could until we fell asleep.
