More than 40 years, told day by day
Collecting my upgraded air rifle from St Ives and noting its poor planning policy destroying its market place aspect.
Triumphing with Sam finding his lost whistles and then more election work as I and sort out my office. T
he South African polling has been extended a further day in some key areas which is good news.
The fine weather continues but for how long we shall see. It was about time that I collected my air rifle from the manufacturers in St Ives where they had been upgrading it to firearm-standard power. I was intending to take Diana this morning but it was her slimming club and so it was this afternoon when we went.

The South African elections go on despite a large bomb at Jo'burgh's International Airport
Into a nice spell of settled weather with sun and warm south-westerly air making it very nice. Out with Sam to do some quartering and waterwork but did not do too much because of the heat. Back to make some calls to review the election returns and was disappointed to find that Percy had some posterboards down and nobody to help him get them up again.

A dry and sunny day to recover, training Sam under close control across the river in Mill Meadow to make him more responsive. Then showing him work and play some tricks for the little boy opposite. Then to my office to make a couple of long telephone calls about the campaign and then update this last couple of days' journal.
I had trouble getting to sleep as I was full and hot from a late meal and outside day with mind full of political campaigns and dog training. Even so, I was awake early and got Diana and I our morning drinks so that I could get going. It started and so I launched a dinghy and transported Sam across to Mill Meadow for some quartering practice.

We heard that the Bosnian Serbs seem to be pulling back from a final assault on Goradsne following the latest UN/NATO threats of air strikes
It was after 7.00am by the time Diana called me with my morning tea because she now takes the view that Debbie can get herself up for school on a Saturday. I was troubled to see that it was pouring with rain and had some difficulty finding a dry spell to give Sam a small run before I had eaten my breakfast and loaded him into the car ready to go.
