A Trip on Daniel’s boat, The Little Lady, on a cooler start to the new month; stopping at the Hoveton Nature Trail and then cruising on to Horning and back, dropping in at The Broadland Estate Agency for details of some investment properties. An evening watching TV before late to bed
After the Lord Mayor’s show…… The month of May had been warm, but June started cold with a northerly airstream. We were not going to allow this to spoil our holiday Norfolk and so we planned a day boat trip today using Daniel’s boat. First, we got up, dressed and had a breakfast of boiled duck egg. Then we prepared the boat and set off. The first leg was the Hoveton Nature Trail through the sedge beds on wooden sleeper parts to Hoveton Great Broad and the girls thought that this was very exciting.

On to Horning, where we had our lunch, a walk and a shop and then back again via Wroxham. I dropped in on the Broadland Estate Agency and to get details of a couple of investment properties. One was a riverside bungalow offered for sale with its 1989 bookings for £150,000, which I thought was too high for its small plot size. Then a pair of derelict cottages at Dilham. I drove to see them and disturbed a barn owl nesting in one of their bedrooms! A very isolated site within sight of the head of navigation of 1 acre at a price of £90,000 for the pair. Okay, if you wanted to complete isolation! This evening, we watched TV and I went to bed quite late. A few showers but quite dry today with some sun but rather chilly
